Blonde Moment

I was at the store buying groceries and other things. I get to the checkout and the girl is shuffling my stuff through. She gets to the last item, the bananas. She has to weigh them, so she punches the right buttons, but gets an error message. It says that the scale is moving, even though it’s not. So she tries again….and again……and again. Nothing. Same error every time. I try making jokes, and even blessing the scale and the bananas by saying “Ok, may you work this time.”  *Beep* Error. “Don’t move!”  *Beep* Error.

So she flips on her blinking light, and waits for a couple seconds. No one comes. She leaves to find someone to help. I make jokes to the people waiting behind me, saying, “If it wasn’t bananas I wouldn’t care, but these are just so great.”  *har, har*

She comes back, the lady helping her finally gets it to work after about the fourth try, and I can then pay for my stuff and leave. As I’m walking out the door, I hear someone calling me. I turn around and it’s the guy that was behind me in line. He looks at me and says “You forgot your bananas.”   LOL!!!!!

I run back inside and find that I had nearly walked off without the hard faught for bananas, and some other important items I’d purchased. I think everyone at that checkout counter was laughing, including myself.   Blondes have all the fun because we have more to laugh about. Along with all the rest of life we have ourselves to chuckle at.
