Hey Jarod - Rick recommend the book "What color is my parachute". It's a great book that helps you take what your gifts are and figure out what you'd be good at, there is even a survey/test type thing in there that helps you figure it out.

I know this much, you have very good people skills and are a good listener- you make a person feel like they are important and that you truly care. Hmmm...I'm describing a good pastor. Humph.

You would be good in a customer service position, sales possibly. Start networking and making contacts with people. I know there are a lot of solid Christian business owners that are looking for help- and willing to train. There are many jobs in the political arena right now because of new terms, new offices being set up, etc.

Praying for you to find the right job!!

Hallo, Jarod!
Hmmm...the first thing I thought of was something IT related. You could take some courses to gain a Microsoft Certified Professional distinction and be well on your way to breaking into the field. I'm thinking you could talk to some of the boys we used to know at HQ (John Long? Matt Bedford? Mark Wadas?) to get some more info? My reason for this train of thought is a.) you have a natrual affinity for wanting to help people b.) you don't look uncomfortable in a dress shirt and tie c.) you're friendly d.) IT work is pretty steady and probably fits your needs the best!!

Wishing you well!
