I dare say that that “communicating of God’s truth to the family” can be confirmed with words, but is most caught and learned (or rejected) by one’s life. What you said reminded me of Mr. Davis’ words from the current HSC DVD: “Leaders lead.” That’s not, “try to be a leader and try to lead,” its “YOU ARE a leader, thus YOU ARE leading, whether you like it or not,” and as you say, being so closely connected to God as to be literally directed by Him is crucial for this.
