Waiting and a glad report

Yesterday’s sermon went well, and God blessed. It was a bit longer than normal I guess, and at first I thought I might not get through the whole thing and have to save the second half for next week. But God helped me, and I think many people were encouraged. Waiting on the Lord is a much bigger topic than I expected. But it was a valuable study, and I hope to improve on it some day in the future. I hope these notes are an encouragement and help to you.

Waiting on God

Also last evening I led a Bible study for the young people in our church. It was the second meeting for the, and the first for me. We are going through Collosians 3. I was amazed at how well the Lord directed and blessed our time together! Many people were participating, chiming into the discussion, and that is no small thing when you’re talking about a group of 20 or more youth. I went into it dependant on the Lord, and he did not let me down. It’s like he was guiding everything I said, and giving me questions to ask and illustrations to throw in from my own life. We only did four verses, but it was so good! I am just so thankful to the Lord for his blessings upon that time, and the other encouragements he has given over the last several days.

  1. Glad things went well for you and that the Lord was with you. We are headed to Indy this next week! We are looking forward to seeing what God is going to do!

  2. that’s great to hear about the sermon and especially the youth bible study.

However, I am upset by the fact that you have a friend who only left you one eprop.

  3. Actually, that’s not just a friend, it’s my sister! () I’m not sure she even understands the e-prop thing. (For that matter, I’m not sure if I understand the e-prop thing.

  4. Hey, at least that’s better than giving two for everything. I’d like to earn those two e-props rather than get them for nothing.

  5. Thank the Lord for what He’s doing in your church!

I agree with your sistas….only one e-prop for this one! ; )……..usually I don’t even pay attention to the e-props……but had to notice this time! = )

  6. uh, well…..

no picture. (not like you would have a picture to go with the subject you were talking about, but a really good post usually has a good picture)

    and,

it was a good update, but it didn’t have an unusual story to spark special interest.  🙂

a couple reasons why it only get one eprop from me.  🙂  -Katie

  7. Good point. I think those are good standards. So if I would have had a good story, or a good picture, it would have been worth two? Yeah, ok, I can live with that.
